Larceny was one of Christopher Nolan's early short films, made in 1996. It starred Jeremy Theobald in his first film acting role, and was made in a single weekend in black and white. The film was shown at the 1996 Cambridge Film Festival, but is currently not available to the public.

Production Edit

Nolan gave the script of Larceny to Theobald, and told him he proposed to make the film in a weekend with a restricted cast, crew and equipment. Theobald agreed to star in the film, finding the script "sharp, irreverent and clever". It was shot using the UCL film society's equipment (an Arri 16BL camera), but was funded by Nolan himself.
