Hilary Swank is an actress who portrayed Ellie Burr in the film Insomnia.
After appearing in theatre productions as a child, Swank got her break after appearing in the film Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1992. From there she went onto other film and TV work, before playing the lead in the 1999 film Boys Don't Cry. She won an Academy Award for her performance, and from there starred in larger films. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress a second time in 2004 for her role in Million Dollar Baby.
