David Samuel Goyer is a screenwriter who co-wrote all three Batman films with Christopher Nolan: Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.

When approached to write Batman Begins, Nolan felt he didn't know the universe well enough so wanted to collaborate with someone who was a big fan of the comics. Goyer had previously worked on the Blade films, and was picked to write with Nolan. In the later Batman films, Jonathan Nolan also worked on the scripts.
