Barbara Gordon was the wife of James Gordon.

After Gordon apparently died protecting Mayor Anthony Garcia, Detective Gerard Stephens came to inform her of his death. She became upset, and began shouting at Batman who was perched nearby, telling him Gordon's death was his fault. Later, when it turned out Jim had faked his death in a sting operation, Barbara grew angry and slapped him for deceiving her.
Later Harvey Dent kidnapped Barbara as well as her son and daughter, and took them to 250 52nd Street where he threatened to kill their son. However, Batman arrived and saved young James's life, killing Harvey Dent by throwing him off a ledge.
